The Logistics Readiness Squadron is the ultimate logistics organization, combining planning, supply and transportation skills into one organization, under one commander, with all the resources to keep pace with the swift demands of deployment, employment, and sustainment support requirements. In addition to supporting the 30th Space Wing missile launches, our focus is on our expeditionary mission: To be able to get out of town quickly, re-supply with time-definite transportation delivery, and have constant visibility over the people and assets in the pipeline to ensure they get to the right place as quickly as possible to support the war-fighting commanders. The synergy that is gained by combining the people who provide those processes into one organization, the 30th LRS, will ensure the Air Force is truly an expeditionary, ready, and agile force.
Logistics Readiness Squadron History: The 30th LRS was created on 1 October 2002 at Vandenberg AFB by merging the 30th Transportation Squadron, 30th Supply Flight, and the Logistics Plans Element of 30th Space Wing Plans and Programs Office. The Transportation and Supply components can trace their roots back to the 4392d Transportation and 4392d Supply Squadrons formed in July 1961.
