14th Air Force IMA Link
Welcome to Vandenberg and the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers. And most importantly, welcome to the Vandenberg Air Force Base Individual Mobility Augmentee (IMA) Web Resource site. Our new web will act as the single point of reference for the Reservist assigned to the 14th Air Force to utilize as well as offer a host of information to those of you interested in learning more about the vast opportunities for reservists in today's US Air Force.
Today, the 14th Air Force has close to 465 IMAs working side by side with our active duty and civilian work force throughout Air Force Space Command. Without question, these dedicated men and women are a vital component our Nation's overall total force as we fight the Global War on Terror and meet the Command's mission of "defending America through the control and exploitation of space."
For those interested in becoming an IMA, it is important to understand the many benefits associated with the Air Force Reserve: good pay, training in many different skills, education and self-improvement opportunities though Air Force ECI courses, Professional Military Education schools, Air Force Technical schools, and leadership experience, travel, low-cost insurance, base privileges, and ultimately, exceptional retirement benefits from the Air Force. Add to this the sense of pride from serving our Nation and knowing you are doing your part to keep the United States strong and safe and I think you will agree the IMA program is a great way to serve. For those already participating as IMAs, our new web site offers news updates, schedules for impending actions and events, upcoming promotion timelines and requirements, relevant contact phone numbers, pay schedules, and links to a whole host of forms necessary to maintain your professional and medical records up to date.
Department of Defense designated the Air Force as its executive agent for space and Our success in this role will depend largely on the quality of the men and women who chose to join us to lead these space and missile programs in the years ahead. I am sure you will find this web site as a useful resource for all of your professional needs as we meet this challenge. As reservists, each of us fills an important role here in the 14th Air Force and in the defense of our Nation. My staff and I in CCV look forward to working with each of you.

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
