First sergeants' Operation Warrior Comfort sends care to Iraq
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. - Master Sgt. Angela Fernandez, 1st Sgt. for the 30th Medical Group, along with Master Sgt. Michael Jones, 1st Sgt. for the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron, prepare boxes on July 19 to be shipped to Iraq, part of Operation Warrior Comfort at the Logistic Readiness Squadron's Building. Operation Warrior Comfort provides support for the Contingency Air Staging Facility, or CSAF, that cares for sick and wounded Airmen and Soldiers transiting through on their way to Germany for care. The donations that have been fundraised through Operation Warrior Comfort will provide some of the wounded troops with clothes since most of them arrive to the CASF with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
