VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. - Tech. Sgt. Richard Styles, from the 614th Air and Space Operations Center, addresses the crowd Tuesday, April 5, 2011, following receipt of his Bronze Star Medal from Lt. Gen. Susan Helms, Joint Functional Component Command for Space and 14th Air Force commander. Sergeant Styles was deployed from May to October 2010 as an intelligence analyst in both Iraq and Afghanistan. While in Iraq, he served with a Joint Special Operations Task Force and led 68 outside-the-wire collection missions. He is also credited with working with international security and coalition partners to identify more than a dozen high valued targets and to provide information about a number of key Al-Qaeda networks. While in Afghanistan, Sergeant Styles was a liaison officer to the International Security Assistance Force and worked with the government of Afghanistan to help capture several senior Al-Qaeda leaders. Jessica Styles, daughter, Monique, and son, Aiden, following a ceremony in which Lt. Gen.
