MSG Pride Day
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – Active duty and civilian volunteer’s cut grass during Mission Support Group Pride Day here Friday, May 10, 2013. The MSG Pride Day consisted of more than 80 volunteers with lawnmowers, weed eaters, gloves and trash bags to restore the bases appearance due to budgetary cuts. “The volunteers that have mowed already, and the ones working tomorrow, are restoring the bases appearance that we all expect. After all, our base appearance is a reflection of us as an organization and team,” said Chief Master Sgt. Patrick Abbott, 30th Mission Support Group superintendant. “Its events like this one, and many other ‘spontaneous acts of mowing,’ that show just how much pride we have in our community, Vandenberg AFB and our mission here.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman Yvonne Morales)
