1/18/2013 - VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Air Force Space Command will conduct a Consolidated Unit Inspection here from Jan. 22 to Feb. 1.

The CUI is a biannual inspection used to measure the base's discipline, readiness and war fighting capability through exercises, inspection and evaluations.

"I am truly impressed with the hard work and dedication each and every member of this wing has put into the months leading up to this inspection," said Col. Nina Armagno, 30th Space Wing commander. "We are trained, certified, ready, and confident."

"In 2012, this wing has conducted over 20 major emergency management exercises, 100 unit-specific exercises, and seven deployment exercises," said Angel Garcia, 30th Space Wing inspector general. "This wing is ready for this inspection."

Traffic delays and base closures may occur throughout this inspection.

Air Force Space Command is Vandenberg's parent unit.
