30th Space Wing Public Affairs

3/7/2012 - VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 30th Medical Group is observing Patient Safety Awareness Week March 4 through March 10.

This observance was established by the National Patient Safety Foundation and is an annual education and awareness campaign for health care safety.

The theme of this year's observance is "Be Aware for Safe Care." This motto focuses on the need for patients to become actively involved in their own care. Patient safety efforts are enhanced when patients become partners with their health care providers in planning and carrying out a course of treatment.

Please stop by the patient safety display in the lobby of the 30 MDG. Many informational pamphlets and free items promoting patient safety are available during Patient Safety Awareness Week.

For questions please contact Marsha Miller, the Patient Safety Program Manager, at 605-5433.
