11/18/2011 - VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif.  -- Vandenberg's 30th Comptroller Squadron earned the distinction of being the Air Force Space Command's Financial Services Office of the Year during an announcement made by Gen. William L. Shelton, AFSPC commander, on Nov. 14.

The 30th CPTS Financial Service Flight provides its services annually to more than 6,500 customers through a variety of means: walk-in service, e-mail pay help and through automated finance systems (e.g. Defense Travel System and e-finance). During fiscal year 2011, the Financial Service Flight processed more than 5,000 pay-affecting documents with remarkable accuracy that yielded a 99 percent customer satisfaction rating.

"This award certainly validates the hard work and tremendous efforts of our 18 member Financial Services team for fiscal year 2011," said Senior Master Sgt. Barton Randolph, 30th CPTS and 30th Wing Staff Agency superintendant. "Their dedication to customer service is second to none in my 17 years of experience in financial management. I am proud to be affiliated with this phenomenal group of professionals."

Additionally, the 2011 AFSPC Annual Financial Management and Comptroller Annual Award individual winners from Vandenberg were:

Financial Management Officer of the Year: 1st Lt. Aaron Kirchoff

Financial Management Civilian (GS-08 and Below) of the Year: Debra Curto

"Working for the award winning 30th CPTS is great," said Debra Curto, a civilian pay technician. "Having an organization that invests time and energy in me and provides me with the motivation to continue striving for my goals and the goals of my unit is reinforcement for me to continue what I'm doing."

"Our team is 100 percent committed to providing top notch customer service on a daily basis to ensure that our Airmen (home station and deployed) and our civilian partners are 100 percent ready to accomplish the Air Force mission," said Lt. Col. Michael Kwasnoski, 30th CPTS commander. "Providing world-class customer service to Vandenberg is our true reward."
