5/8/2013 - VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The seven to 10-acre fire located a half-mile North of San Antonio Road West here was contained at approximately 3:55 p.m. Wednesday.
Members from the Vandenberg fire department, Hot Shots crew, and Santa Barbara Fire Department responded to the fire around 2:15 p.m.
One southbound lane on Highway 1 was reopened and both northbound lanes remain open.
There was no structural damage or mission impact as a result of this fire.
All personnel are asked to avoid the area due to safety considerations.
