5/8/2013 - VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Vandenberg fire department responded to a brush fire located a half-mile North of San Antonio Road West here Wednesday.
Southbound lanes on Highway 1 have been closed in the direction coming from Santa Maria.
No structural damage has been reported at this time.
According to current weather reports, winds out of the West are carrying the fire away from base structures.
All personnel are asked to avoid the area due to safety considerations.
