U.S. Air Force Fact Sheet 2ND RANGE OPERATIONS SQUADRON (2 ROPS)     2nd Range Operations Squadron emblem Mission The 2nd Range Operations Squadron executes Command and Control of the Western Range in direct support of Spacelift Operations, Ballistic Missile Test and Aeronautical Test and Evaluation. 2 ROPS protects the Nation's access to Space and Public Safety by developing Mission Flight Rules and, if required, Terminating Flight. Additionally, 2 ROPS is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all Western Range operations to include; pre-launch, launch and aeronautical.
