Chief Master Sergeant Patrick F. McMahon is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Fourteenth Air Force (Air Forces Strategic), Air Force Space Command; and Command Senior Enlisted Leader, Joint Functional Component Command for Space, United States Strategic Command, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. The Fourteenth Air Force (Air Forces Strategic) mission is to control and exploit space for global and theater operations and provides space capabilities that ensure global presence, vigilance and reach for the nation. The Joint Functional Component Command for Space is responsible for executing continuous, integrated space operations to deliver theater and global effects in support of national and combatant commander objectives

He advises the commander on all matters influencing the professional development, training, combat readiness, utilization, quality of life and mission effectiveness of assigned and attached enlisted personnel. The Fourteenth Air Force (Air Forces Strategic) comprises more than 20,500 dedicated professionals and the organization performs five key missions: C2 of space forces; space superiority; surveillance, warning, & battlefield characterization; satellite & network operations and space launch & range.

Chief McMahon was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He enlisted in the Air Force in October 1989. His background includes diverse duties within the communication-electronics maintenance career field. Chief McMahon has served as a squadron and group superintendent before becoming a command chief master sergeant at the wing and numbered Air Force levels.
